The Parliamentary Secretariat for Equality and Reforms is within the Office of the Prime Minister. The Secretariat works to promote equality in our society and devise legislative reform that reflects the needs and rights of Maltese citizens. The Secretariat is led by the Parliamentary Secretariat Hon. Rebecca Buttigieg MP.

It is responsible for the following government agencies, namely the Authority for the Responsible Use of Cannabis, the Human Rights Directorate, the National Commission for the Promotion of Equality and the Commission on Gender-Based Violence and Domestic Violence.
